A "Dragon" comes in many forms and can be called many things. Not only is there lots of names for dragons there are also alot of kinds of dragons to go with the names. When most people think of dragons they think of the Western Dragon which are of all sorts of colors and sizes. They have long tails and a line of scales that stood straight out of their back and went from the tip of their tail to top of their head. The dragons scales were usally a few inces thick and were very puncture and cut resistant. Most of these dragons had large leathery wings that were like bats and had little claws at the tips. They had two horn protruding from the top of the head the horn didn't usally grow every long. The dragon stood on four leg and sometimes was known to use their front hands to hold things.
This was another kind of dragon that had only two legs and has wings. The Wyvern's body was like a bat and used the little claws on it's wings as another set of hands. They were also said to have a stinger at the end of it's tale and it was said to be filled with poison. This dragon originated from Europe and was a sign of strength and was placed on many flags.
Most people don't think of a Hydra as a dragon but it is one all the same. The Hydra was said to have multiple heads and wasn't really known to have wings and sometimes have no legs. It was said that if you cut off one of the Hydra's heads two more would grow back, however it was proably said because it was such an adversary that it had never been kill much and impling that it was so.
The drake was a smaller verion of the western dragon beside the fact that it had no wings. There were two kinds of drakes, Fire Drakes, and Cold Drakes. The Fire Drake was a red color and was known to blow fire, Were the Cold Drake was a Whitesh-Blue and was said to blow snow or hail. The Western infant was commenly mistaken as the Drake because the western's Wings grew with age and were very small at early stages of life.
